Just Jump!

June 2, 2010 § 1 Comment

Today I learned the term “jumpology,” which refers to the art of jumping, or rather photographing the art of jumping. This term, coined by famous photographer Philippe Halsman, was introduced because…

When you ask a person to jump, his attention is mostly directed toward the act of jumping, and the mask falls, so that the real person appears.

What a simple and outstanding objective! I couldn’t stop myself from smiling at Halsman’s photos. I am utterly inspired.

Read and see more on the art and joys of jumping here, here, and here.
