I’ll Have to Thank My Dad for Keepin It Real

I grew up in a city that loves to tear down old buildings and make new, modern, and often architecturally ugly replacements. All my life I heard my father grumble about the city’s inability to preserve history which is probably why I appreciate this CNN photography project that lines up the old with the new so much.
I’d like to do the same project with people’s faces.
Taking A Shine to Shiner

Joe Manus, an Atlanta based eco-friendly home furnishings designer, contacted abby’s road this week to share some of his work and I am thrilled to do the same- Nothing speaks to my heart like green chairs! His collection is almost hyper-masculine, but it lends itself to a very eclectic and handsome look.
Tough, dark, and proudly damanged, Joe’s label- Shiner, can be found here.
